Me with a Polish sniper. These guys laid in the snow for about an hour waiting for Polish VIPs (Generals) to come watch them shoot. Hard core. They shot pretty well.

This is me and the "ratownik" (emergency response medic) who was working with the Polish Battle Group I was with the last two weeks. He was crazy and hilarious. He showed me a scar on his lower back where he had surgery, so he could walk again. He was unable to walk for 10 months after a fall. I asked him how many meters high the fall was and he answered, "a lot." Of course, having an old guy pointing out his scar just above his glutius crack was an experience worth remembering, especially when Polish explanations for why he's showing me his crack take a minute to register.

Article
Here's an article about a 4-star general I thought you might all enjoy.

I especially enjoyed it because the writer told a story about Karl Malone too. My older sister was once alone in an elevator with Karl Malone at the Embassy Suites Hotel in downtown SLC and didn't even know it! I remember one of the maids pointed him out to me and then Beck realized what an idiot she was for not knowing. She was like, "Yeah, he was really nice. Asked me what floor I wanted and pushed the button for me." Ha!

Pass the snow, please
I think Punksatony Phil might not have made an appearance today had he lived in Iowa. Infact, he might have suffocated. We got hit hard last night with wind and snow that created 5-6 foot snow drifts. Everything is closed. No school for Dave. I don't know how he'd get there if it wasn't cancelled! Our car is literally buried.

And our car.
