New Baby

Thanks for all of the congratulations in regard to the new recruit. She's almost as attractive as I am. She sure yells a lot, which we don't mind unless it's at 0200. She doesn't like baths so we know that she takes after Dad in some ways, but at the same time she's really skinny, which means that she doesn't take after Dad in other ways. We're already shopping for a minivan now that we've found a buyer for our condo in UT, so I guess being cool is no longer an option. Hope everyone is doing well - don't believe the hype - being a lawyer is painfully boring.

I had no idea

I got this for change at the Shopette one day and just had to share it with all of you.
Just in case you can't tell the dialogue balloon next to George Washington says "I grew hemp".

Dad came to Ft. Huachuca and took me out to lunch at an Olive Garden in Tucson for my birthday. It was great to see the old man, even if only for a little while.

I'm a blogger now!

Hey family, Steve here. Dad came up here yesterday to leave me the Pontiac and brought me a few items, one of which was my camera. Now that I have it, I'm going to start posting stuff on this blog, starting with a few pictures from Dad's visit.

Greetings familials from the bowels of America (Kansas)!!

I have a relatively free evening for a change, and Mom is eating at Verliesociety Homemaking tonight so I am attempting to upload a few more Lucy photos before I head off to see Steve this weekend for his birthday--delivering the Purple Menace to him as a present (Ben's old Grand Am that is still kickin'!! though the paint remains in somewhat sad shape).

But ain't Lucy gorgeous! Can't help it with such handsome parents!!

Be good and choose the right. Love, Dad

Another overdue post

Natalie and Emily.

Natalie's first plane ride.

We are long overdue for putting stuff on the blog. These are the pics from Natalie's first plane trip out to Grandma and Grandpa Shaha's house.

What's that in your ear Katie?

This is a rather interesting way of removing ear wax that we picked up at the health food store called an "ear candle."

The destructive power of a 9-month old

Natalie now likes to take the fun zoo play land she has and turn it upside down, and then drum on the bottom of it.

Fun Smiles

Some of Natalie's charming moments!

Got a couple photos of the newest hot babe at Fort Riley--beautiful Lucy Elizabeth!!

And here are the beaming parents and Gramma--only one guess who got to hold little Lucy most of the time. Joe was actually much more thrilled than he appears in my photo--must the the camera operator (either that or his leg was acting up again).

Natalie's Famous Sleep Pose

Above, you will see a few pictures we have of Natalie Jane in her famous sleeping pose. Below is the world-renowned video I shot of Natalie and Katie sleeping in the same pose. No, I did not stage these poses! I woke up early one morning in December and found them asleep like this. Hilarious!

Utes go down in flames... because they're flamers

Hey guys. This is Wendy and I three rows from the ceiling at the BYU v Utah game on Saturday. Fortunately, the good guys won. This is my victory face... Wendy is awed by its awesomeness as you can see.

Look closely... these are the Utes' pregame stretches. Complete with yoga bands and ethereal music! ... Ok I lied about the music but the bands are real. They were on the floor for like fifteen minutes, just showing off their spandex. It was great.

This was at a volleyball game. I don't know what I was doing.... trying to look like Joe I guess.

This video is of some game footage. Rock on.

We really dug the pictures of Emily looking angry. She's awesome. Sorry you're feeling so stressed Ben. I can't believe you're home teaching 14 families! That's insane. You should get an enano or something! We're doing good out here. I just signed up for the Army HPSP program. We'll know if I get the scholarship in about two weeks. We want Lucy pictures... we demand them. We also demand that some good names be left to us by ye elder brethren. What gives? You're all required to name your next child something weird like Yolanda so we can still have some good names. Aight? I'll take your silence for acquiescence.
