Pat, Nancy, and Steve made the 300+ mile trek to visit us over President's Day weekend and for three days Iowa sure felt like heaven! Especially for Oakley, who was smitten with Uncle Steve.
.
But I can't say the same for poor Nancy, who was cold the entire time.
So after we finally got the Oakster out of her PJs, we visited the Kalona Cheese factory and ate our share of cheese curds. At least I did. Oakley slept and drooled on Dave's shoulder the entire time.
Just down the road was the future birthplace of Captain James T. Kirk. THE birthplace. Notice how thrilled Steve is to be there and Nancy's expert vulcan (is that what it is?) sign. :)
A little later, Oakley enjoyed her first ever ride on a carousel and loved it. Dave said she was quietly say "Weeeeee" the entire time.
And what would a trip to Hawkeye territory be without a wrestling match or two?
And as you know, Sunday was Nancy's birthday. And Michael Jordan's. So, in honor of the two, we partied hard core and ate cake and ice cream. And I bet you'll never guess what kind of ice cream. :)
And Nancy got a laptop!
We had a great time! Thanks for coming to visit, awesome in-laws!
