Just so happened i got this shot of Dave's first relative trying to cash in on free medical advice--after the aspirin and the call in the morning, never count out Band-Aid brand as the key to successful treatment for what ails you.

Got this shot of the newlyweds in front of their house--it's awesome! And it's just the day before their Anniversary so a really big weekend for them. Congratulations Wendy and Dave!!

Celebrating with Dave after the ceremony. Both Wendy and Dave start their classes on Monday, 24 Aug--Dave as a rookie first year, Wendy finishing up her degree.

White Coat Ceremony for Doc Dave and Wendy

Dave's triumphant descent from the McBride Auditorium stage, University of Iowa, with his new lab coat. He was looking for us up in the balcony but we had acquired seats right on the isle--Wendy tried to give him a low 5 but he didn't even see us. Oh well, the photo's OK.

Blog pimping

Alright, freaks.  I've been messing with the blog a little.  Let me know if you have any requests for a song on the playlist.  They may or may not be denied.  Subject to my taste!  There are some gems on it now.  Tu Pum Pum is from Panama.  El Venado was on all the time in Venezuela.  I was astounded that I found a song by Ali Primera, "El Cantor del Pueblo" on the internet.  It's a good one that Jorge used to play, too.  The Europe song if from the 80s and was on the Hot Rod movie.  Chris introduced me to it, and it is awesome.  Any movie involving a sweet fake mustache is up Chris's alley of course.  Our World Tour is coming to a close here at Bear Lake.  It's really nice and we have some good pic to post soon.  SHould post a pic of my wicked sunburn.

Iowa is for Lovers... and corn

Howdy familia! Thanks for all of your awesome pictures Steveah! They're great. So we're
settling down here in Iowa and loving things. We have a really nice pad... as the pictures prove.
And we got some furniture down in Kansas with Mom and Dad. We got so much in fact that they
threw in a 22 inch hd tv! Pretty sweet eh? It's a definite improvement on our previous idiot box.
Here is a montage of pictures from our summer adventures.
So this is the Narrows at Zions. Awesome.

This is up at Angels Landing.

This is also at Angels Landing. It's quite a drop.

This is a rabbit outside of Zions. He wouldn't move until we were practically on top of him.

This is the Yellowstone river. Pretty awesome.

Buffalo.

So just as Old Faithful erupted these buffalo came out of nowhere and just ran by in front of it. It was crazy. The light brown ones are calves.

A marmot at yellowstone. After we left I heard some Asian people speaking to each other and throwing in the word "otter" every so often.

This is me jumping at the beach on the Oregon coast. It was awesome.

Here's Wendy jumping too.

This is our new place. I'm happy to report that Alan the aloe plant made it safely.

This is a gnarly bug that we found in our sink. Anybody ever seen one? If you zoom in a little he's a little more clear. He looks like a parasite from the black lagoon or something.

This is the house from the outside.

These aren't in any real order. I'm pretty bad at this stuff. This is the Grand Canyon. Pretty huge.

Here is Wendy jumping over the Grand Canyon. She's got hops.

This is at Crater Lake in Oregon. It's super deep and really clear. It formed when a volcano blew itself up and it's been filling up with rain and snow ever since.

Crater lake baby.
That's it. You guys are great. There are some sweet trails out here and we just found the Mormon Pioneer campsite this morning. It's a great place and everyone in the ward is painfully smart. Party on dudes.

Shaha Reunion 2009

Some pictures from another great Shaha Family Reunion:

Emily hanging out with Ben

Ladies and gentlemen...Grizzly Adams.

Katie taking Natalie for a walk

BADMINTON!!!

Mom's embarrased by this picture, she thinks Dave and Joe look like those two dorks from Gunsmoke. I call this one the Hillbilly Wanted Poster ("Turn these fellers in for a re-ward").

Rock Band, I sense a new tradition on the horizon.

Grandpa interacting with one of his great grandchildren.

Check it out, four generations of Shahas enjoying

Laurel & Hardy.

Emily, her Dad, and her Grandpa Shaha.

Emily and Lucy getting ready for the portrait.

Natalie joining them.

The proud grandparents with their granddaughters.

Family portrait.

Ladies and gentlemen...the KISSettes (great job on finding these onesies Katie).

Emily banging on my drums, check out the video below.

Natalie on the skins.

John Stockton (no, not that John Stockton) slapping the bass.

It had been way too long since I'd been behind my kit.

Ben shredding guitar and Dave belting out the vocals.

Three generations of Shahas with the same haircut (ha ha ha).

I hope that Lucy always remembers this somewhere in her subconscious.
